Wire Collated Hi-Load Coil nails

Hi-Load coil nails are manufactured predominantly for pallet nailing machines and robots, incorporating a sturdy plastic axle and a protective paper cover. The combination of these components ensures easy handling and prevents tangling or damage to the nails during transportation and storage. The number of nails contained within each Hi-Load coil can vary depending on the specific requirements and preferences of the end user. Typically, these coils can accommodate anywhere between 450 and 3000 nails per coil, offering flexibility and catering to various operational needs. Their reliable performance, combined with the convenience of coil packaging, makes them a popular choice among professionals in the pallet forging industry. Looking for coils for nail guns? FAQ

  • 1. What are wire collated nails?

Wire collated nails are welded together by two thin wire strips at a slanted 15-degree angle. Wire help hold nails in place, and it is perfect in a harsh construction environment.

  • 2. How many nails are held in one Hi-load coil?

Such coil can hold from 450 to 3000 nails in one coil.

  • 3. Where can I apply wire collated Hi-Load nails?

Hi-load nails are only used in the packaging industry by special nailing machines or automated robots. Mostly common in the wooden pallet manufacturing sector.

  • 4. What are wire collated Hi-load nail shank types?

A smooth shank allows nails to enter the material more easily.

Ring shank nails have very high initial withdrawal resistance. Therefore, they are used in many wood framing and sheathing applications.

Screw shank nail resists withdrawal all the way out when being pulled. Therefore, screw nails are preferred for wood construction projects.

  • 5. What are wire collated Hi-load nail point types?

Diamond point is the most common nail tip. It gives the best possible penetration into the material.

Clinch point nails are used to secure boards of pallets and other wooden structures. The clinched nail tip bends easily under the metal base.

Blunt point nails prevent the wood from splitting when driven. It breaks through the wood fibers instead of splitting them.

  • 6. What are wire collated Hi-load nail finishing types?

Bright nails are not coated with a protective finish layer which means they are more vulnerable to outdoor conditions.

Vinyl coated nails use a slick vinyl coating for easier nail driving into the material. When it is driven for a moment vinyl heats up by the friction and then quickly cools down, hardening the vinyl coating which acts as the glue. However, this coating does not protect the nail from corrosion.

Electro-galvanized (white) nails have a 12μ layer of zinc which offers corrosion protection. They are generally used in areas where minimal corrosion protection is needed.

Electro-galvanized (yellow) nails offer the same corrosion protection as white galvanized nails the only difference is the color.

  • 7. What is the price of wire collated nails?

Raw material prices are always changing so it is difficult to set constant prices. To get a quotation of our updated product prices, please contact us via email or fill out the inquiry form on our product page.
